Jane Duncan's first experience of foreign travel came in her 50s and she spent the next decade exploring the world. Of her many adventures, perhaps the most notable is her journey through the Chang La Pass — she was the first Western woman to make the trip.
She only published one book, 'A summer ride through Western Tibet'. The second edition features a memoir offering tantalising glimpses into her other journeys, perhaps intended to be explored in future books
