THE FOLLOWING PREPARATIONS

STOMACH COMPLAINTS. —Dr. Henderson's Stomachic Vegetable Elixir. — The
unprecis'deated demand for this Medicine, and the flattering accounts daily received from all quarters
of the Empire, as to the beneficial effects experienced from its use in all cases of Derangement of the
Digestive Organs, are the strongest proofs which could be given of its efficacy in every variety of
Stomach Complaint ; while, as an aperient, it is the pleasantest and the safest that can be taken, and
may be used in every case in which opening Medicines are indicated.
Prepared only by Dr Henderson, whose name is subscribed in red ink on the labels attached.
In pint Bottles, 4s. 6d. and half-pints, 2s. 9d.
Dr James's Fever Powder — is universally approved by the Profession and the Public, and is
administered with equal success in Fever, Inflammatory Diseases, Measles, Pleurisy, Sure Throats,
Rheumatism, &c. When given in Colds, Catarrhs, &c. it is generally found to check their progress,
or shorten their duration. In Packets, 2s. 9d. and 24s.
Ching's Worm Lozenges. — The extraordinary efficacy of these Lozenges in cases of Worms, as
well as in obstructions in the Bowels, and every disorder where cleansing physic is required, is so
universally known, and has been publicly acknowiedged by so many persons of distinction in society,
that it is unnecessary here to enlarge on their peculiar virtues. In Packets, at Is. l^d. and 2s. 9d.
Morris's Brunswick Corn-Plaster — is generally admitted to be one of the best emollient
applications for Corns and Bunions, and is worthy of a trial on the part of tho who are afflicted
with such unpleasant complaints. In Boxts, at Is. l^d. and 2s. 9d.
Power's Ointment for Ringworm. — The inventor of this remedy has for the last ten years
cured several hundreds of persons gratuitously, until the demands have become so numerous, that he
feels it a duty he owes to himself, his family, and the afflicted, to give it publicity. In Pots, at
2s. 9d. and 4s. 6d.
Perry's Essence for Tooth and Ear- Ache has been found of such extreme service in relieving
Tooth and Ear-Ache, that it has been commented upon most favourably in several Medical Journals.
It affords instantaneous rehef, and generally prevents any recurrence of pain. In Bottles, at Is. Hd.
and 2s. 9d.
Dixon's Antibilious Pills. — As a mUd and effectual remedy in those affections which have their
origin in a morbid action of the Liver and Biliary Organs, namely, Indigestion, Loss of Appetite,
Headach, Flatulence, Heartburn, Constipation, &c. these PiUs, {which do not contain Mercury in
any shape, ) have met with more general approval than any other Medicine. In Boxes, at 2s. 9d.

Butler's Vegetable Tooth Powder This Dentifrice, {Composed of Vegetables, without
the admixture of any Mineral, or pernicious ingredient whatever, ) has so long been in general use,
and an appendage to the fashionable toUet, that it is unnecessary to offer any further recommendation
in favour of it. In Boxes, at 2s. 9d.
Dr James's Analeptic Pills — are an excellent Alterative in Chronic Diseases of the Stomach
and Bowels, and are applicable to Bilious and Dyspeptic Affections, Gout, &c. They are mild in
their operation, and require no restraint or confinement during the use of them. In Boxes, at 4s. 6d.
and 24s.
Hickman's Pills for Gravel, Stone, &c. — This Medicine has been long approved for the
relief of Affections of the Kidneys and Bladder, wliich are attended with the formation of Gravel,
Calculus, and those pains of the Back and Loins, which accompany these affections ; and are found
to succeed, when most remedies of the kind have altogether faUed. In Boxes, at 2s. 9d. and ] Is.
Butler's Cajeput Opodeldoc, used with much success in cases of Rheumatism, Sprains, Bruises,
&c. also an excellent application for Chilblains, by allaying the Irritation. In Bottles, at 2s. 9d.
Tower's Tonic Pills These Stomachic Aperient Pills have for many years received the most
decisive marks of pubUc approval. They are expressly designed to restore the tone and energy of the
Di"^estive Organs, and to remove and correct Indigestion, a bad and defective Appetite, Depression of
Spirits, Drowsiness, &c. In Boxes, 2s. 9d. 4s. 6d. and lis.
Marshall's Universal Cerate, — an excellent remedy for broken Chilblains, Scalds, Burns,
Wounds, and Ulcers, of every denomination, especially Sore and Ulcerated Legs. In Boxes, Is. Ifd.
and 2s. 9d.
VETERINARY MEDICINES.
The Public is respectfully informed, that the following Veterinary Medicines are kept by Butler
& Co. 73, Prince's Street, Edinbm-gh. They are invariably formed of Genuine Drugs ; and where
the aloe enters into the composition, that of Barbadoes is the only kind used. The Recipes from
which the Medicints are prepared, are the most approved of those recommended by Veterinary Prac-
titioners of celebrit}- ; and attention has been paid to such forms as remain unchanged by keeping, and
are of easy solution in the stomach of the Horse : —
jMild Physic Ball ; Strong Physic Ball ; Alercurial Physic Ball for Worms ; Laxative Alterative
Ball ; Diuretic Alterative Ball ; Pectoral Cough Ball ; Chronic Cough Ball ; Cordial Ball ; Strong
Blister Ointment ; Mild Liquid Blister ; Leeming's Essence for Splints. The Medicines of Mr
Blaine may be had at the Establishment ; also, every article adapted to Veterinary Practice, or that is
