LIFE DEPARTMENT.
This Company effect Life Insurances on equitable prin-
ciples, with entire exemption from the liability of partner-
ship.
A Large Capital, subscribed by the Proprietors, forms
the security of the assured.
The Premiums may be all paid at once, or in any given
number of years, in the option of the party making the Iiisw
ranee ; a plan, the advantages of which are strikingly ob-
vious, as it affords an opportunity of securing a certain pro-
Tision, independent of all after risks from failure in paying
the Premium, or of paying a larger Premium, while the
means of doing so may be more at command.
Each Policy for Life is entitled to share the Surplus
Profits, which are declared every seven years.
All transactions in the Life Department are considered
strictly confidential.
Prompt Payment of Claims is made Three Months after
proof of Death.
The following rates of Insurance for single Lives are
given as specimens from the Tables, The rates for One
and Seve7i years will, it is believed, be found, o?i comparzson,
very advantageous to the Public, while Insurances for the
■whole period of Life are equally so, if the benefit to be ulti-
mately derived from a participation of the profits is taken
into account.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Insurances of every description of Property effected at
the usual rates, corresponding to the risk. The practice
of this Company has been, for upwards of a century, to re-
turn the profits on Policies effected for Seven Years. Only
Six years' premium and duty are charged, and the Govern-
ment Duty may be paid annually or in one payment.
The Stability and Character of the London Union So-
ciety [have been satisfactorily proved by the test of up-
wards of a century, during which long period claims have
been invariably discharged with promptness and liberality.
