Thirlestane Castle - floor plans

These drawings show the plans of the ground floor and first floor of Thirlestane Castle. Each room has clearly been identified, from the Buttery to 'My Lady Duchess's Garderobe'

This plate was intended for Slezer's unpublished volume, The Ancient and Present state of Scotland. It was included in the 1719 and 1978/1729 editions of Theatrum Scotiae, but not the 1797 one.
