To the official of Glasgow. Mandate to reserve to Roger Schoct,
priest, Glasgow diocese, a benefice of the kind wont to be assigned
to secular clerks, in the gift of the abbot and convent of Paisley,
o.clun., to the value of 25 merks sterling if with cure and to the
value of 18 merks sterling if without cure and situated in those parts
where the teinds have not been reduced by half, and to the value
of 20 merks sterling if with cure and to the value of 15 merks if
without cure and situated elsewhere.

To the bishops of St Andrews and Glasgow. Mandate to provide
Alan de Govan, monk of Paisley, o.clun., to the abbacy of the
said monastery vacant by the death outside the curia of John, late
abbot, under whom the monastery was reserved to papal provision,
and on whose death the convent, in ignorance of the reservation,
had elected Alan who, in like ignorance, consented to the election.
On learning of the reservation, however, Alan had appealed to the
pope who declared his election and the events subsequent null and
void, but to prevent a long harmful vacancy grants this provision;
and the oath of fealty is to be received by one of the mandatories
and then sent to the pope by letters patent under Alan’s seal by the
next envoy.

deacon of St Andrews. Mandate to collate Alexander de Lichton,
brother of the hospital of St John of Jerusalem to the preceptorship,
called priory, of the said order of Torphichine, St Andrews diocese,
value ^50 old sterling to a non-resident, wont to be governed by a
brother of the said order and vacant by the death outside the curia
of Alexander de Seton, late prior, or vacant by the deaths outside
