To the abbot of Balmerino. Mandate to surrogate Henry de Ramsay,
priest, St Andrews diocese, to the rights claimed by Roger de Edyn-
burgh, calling himself priest, said diocese, to the hospital of St
Germain, order of the Star of Bethlehem, said diocese, vacant by
the death outside the curia of John Rolloc called master. On John’s
death Henry had been provided to the hospital by ordinary authority
and had held the administration of the goods; but Roger had claimed
these rights and at his instance the case had been referred for settle¬
ment to master Louis de Valtierra, canon of Gerona, papal chaplain
and auditor. It had then become known that Roger was a notorious
schismatic and adherent of Peter Filardi de Candia calling himself
Alexander v. Roger is to be summoned and examined and if this
be true he is to be deprived of his rights to the hospital, which are
then to be surrogated to Henry as above. Henry, by virtue of
apostolic authority, is to adopt the regular habit of the order of the
Star of Bethleham and by this receive possession of the hospital.

To the official of St Andrews. Mandate to summon and examine
Thomas Trayle, rector of the parish church of Rothow, St Andrews
diocese, concerning the fact that when cited by Robert de Moffet,
canon of Glasgow, to appear before John, abbot of Sweetheart,
o.cist., who had been appointed to settle a dispute over the parish
church of Bothwyle which they both claimed by right, Thomas
had declared Benedict to be deposed because of his demerits, and
had appealed to Peter de Candia, calling himself Alexander v.
Thomas is to be deprived of Rothow if this is found to be true.
