to have possession of the hospital, an ecclesiastical benefice in per¬
petual title, wont to be served by a clerk of the order of the Star of
Bethlehem and at the collation of the bishop of Bet-Lahm, not¬
withstanding that he is known to hold the treasurership of Scone
which, however, on his peaceful assecution to the said hospital, he
is held to demit.1

To Alexander de Balbrynny, perpetual vicar of the parish church of
Hech, Aberdeen diocese, b.dec. Reservation is granted to Alexander
constituted priest, of a benefice in the gift of the bishop, prior and
chapter of St Andrews, if with cure to the value of 40 merks sterling,
and if without cure to the value of 30 merks sterling, vacant or to
be vacant, notwithstanding that he is known to hold the said parish
church of Hech, value not exceeding ^10 sterling to a non-resident,
which on his peaceful assecution to a benefice as above he is to demit.

Concurrent mandate to the abbot of Balmerino, the dean of Huesca,
and the official of Dunkeld.

To the abbots of Holy wood and Sweetheart, and the secular provost
of the collegiate church of Lincluden, Glasgow diocese. Mandate to
collate Robert de Merton, m.a., b.leg., rector of the parish church
of Cambuslang, Glasgow diocese, subdeacon, third year student of
law, to a canonry of Glasgow and the prebend of Castylcarryk, value
not exceeding 20 merks sterling to a non-resident. Mandatory letters
had been sent to the bishop of St Andrews [unnamed], to collate
John de Hawyk then holding the parish church of Dunlop, Glasgow
diocese, to a canonry and prebend and the precentorship of Glasgow,
and on his peaceful assecution to this he was to demit the canonry
and prebend of Castylcarryk; but previously John and Patrick de
