firmation by Robert, king of Scots,1 of a grant of the right of patron¬
age in the church or prebend of St John of Ayr, made by David, king
of Scots,2 to the said monastery, of which a certain version had been
sent to the curia, attested to by John dejanua and James de Fauside,
Glasgow and St Andrews dioceses, clerks and public notaries on 27
March, 1404, and further attested to at Dalkeith and Edinburgh [as
in Reg Vat 326, 426V-427V above].

Ad perpetuam rei memoriam. Papal confirmation at the petition of
David, the abbot and the convent of Melrose, o.cist. of a grant by
Robert, bishop of Glasgow, with the consent of the chapter, to the
said monastery of the chapel or church of Mauchlin, within the
limits of Kylesmore, with all its titles, and later confirmed by John,
bishop of Glasgow,3 of which a certain version had been sent to the
curia, attested to by two notaries on 27 March, 1404, and further
attested to at Dalkeith and Edinburgh [as in Reg Vat 326, 426V-427V
above, p 122].

Ad perpetuam rei memoriam. Papal confirmation at the petition of
David, the abbot and the convent of Melrose of a grant to the
monastery of Melrose of the parish church of Wastyrker, Glasgow
diocese, in free and perpetual alms, by John, late bishop of Glasgow,
with the consent of the chapter,4 with the said church to be served
by a perpetual vicar in the presentation of the abbot and convent to
the bishop of Glasgow, and a suitable portion reserved for his
sustenance.
