To the abbot of Kelso, St Andrews diocese. Mandate to confirm the
abbot and convent of Melrose in full possession in perpetuity of the
parish church of Magnacaveris, Glasgow diocese, value not exceed¬
ing ^100 sterling, formerly granted to them [as in Reg Vat 323,
185-6, above p 100], as the abbot and convent had doubted the
validity of their title since in their original petition they had claimed
to have the patronage of the said church whereas it was in fact
specially reserved to papal provision.

To John de Hawick, precentor of Glasgow, b.dec. Indult for John
to hold along with the precentorship of Glasgow, a non-major
dignity with cure, value not exceeding £40 sterling, any other
benefice with cure even if a dignity, parsonage or office provided it
is not a major or principal dignity in a cathedral or collegiate
church; but within three years of his peaceful assecution to a benefice
as above, it or the precentorship must be exchanged for a compatible
benefice, otherwise at the end of the three years he is held to demit
one or the other.

To the official of Sens. Mandate to confirm John Bonar, canon of
Auxerre, in possession of the parish church of St Ferreoli, Auxerre
diocese, value not exceeding 60 gold francs to a non-resident, vacant
by the death outside the curia of John Paton, late rector, as he had
doubted the validity of his presentation by Hugh, abbot of the
monastery of St Germain, said diocese, to the vicar-in-spiritualities
of Michael, bishop of Auxerre, and his institution in the said church
by the said vicar.
