LETTERS OF POPE BENEDICT XIII

To Cuthbert de Brechin, precentor of Brechin. Provision of
Cuthbert to the deanery of Brechin, a major elective dignity with
cure value not exceeding -£40 sterling, vacant by the death outside
the curia of Andrew de Kyi, but on his peaceful assecution to the
said deanery he is to demit the said precentorship.

Concurrent letters to the dean of Moray, the archdeacon of Aber¬
deen, and the treasurer of Glasgow.

To Gilbert Brown, priest, rector of the parish church of Finhevwin,
Brechin diocese. Provision of Gilbert to the precentorship of the
church of Brechin, a non-elective dignity with cure value not
exceeding 20 merks sterling, vacant because Cuthbert de Brechin,
the former precentor, had been provided to the deanery of Brechin,
a reserved benefice; and Gilbert is to demit his parish church of
Finhevwin within two years, or to exchange it for a benefice com¬
patible with the said precentorship.

bishop of St Andrews in whose diocese the monastery is situated.
