To the prior of Restennet, St Andrews diocese. Mandate to collate
Alexander Lyel, clerk, St Andrews diocese, to a canonry and pre¬
bend of Ross value not exceeding 8 merks sterling, as a reserved
benefice vacant by the provision by Gregory xi of Walter, late
cardinal-priest, to the bishopric of Glasgow. Subsequently Walter
had been made a cardinal and the canonry and prebend had been
reserved to papal provision by Clement vn, which reservation had
been confirmed by the present pope who now grants the canonry
and prebend to Alexander by this mandate.1

Tovergayth, canon of Glasgow, the resignation by himself or
through his procurator of his canonry and the prebend of Glasgow
Secundo.

To the bishop of Glasgow. Mandate to collate Thomas de Wyn-
schellis, deacon, Glasgow diocese, to a canonry of Glasgow and the
prebend of Glasgow Secundo, value not exceeding 14 merks sterling,
to be vacant by the resignation of John de Tovergath, holding them
at present, in consequence of other mandatory letters to the said
bishop of Glasgow to receive the resignation by papal authority.

lic.u.j., m.a. Indult for David to resign all his benefices held now or
