The supplementary examination of students, who failed in one
subject at the Annual Examinations, was held in October 1936.
One student from Class C, 6 from Class B and 3 from Class A
appeared and all passed with the exception of one in Class B and
1 in Class A.

7.  Scholarships.—Of the 9 Government scholarships attached
to the College 5 were vacant at the commencement of the year.
Of these one was awarded to a student in Class B and 3 to new
students in Class A. One scholarship was withdrawn from
a student since he failed at the supplementary examination in
October. There were, therefore, in all 7 Government scholars
studying in the College.

The Sind Government sent 2 new scholars and continued
stipend to 1 scholar already in the College. The Central
Provinces Government continued stipends to the 15 scholars
already in the College. The States of Kolhapur, Udaipur, Devas
and Mysore, each continued stipends to their scholars. The Kotah
State sent 4 new scholars and the Rewa State sent 1.

Thus out of the 113 students, 34 held stipends and 79 were
private students.

8.  Clinical Instruction.—This was carried out as usual at the
Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals. Four thousand
six hundred and ninety three animals were treated at this Hospital
during the year as against 4,284 last year. Of these 2,182 were
in-patients. Of the in-patients, 409 were Equines, 433 Bovines and
1,340 Canines. The average daily attendance was 68. Fifty-two
dogs received anti-rabic treatment.

9.  The Laboratory.—The work in the Laboratory consisted in
giving instruction to the Final year students and in the examina-
tion of specimens received from the districts. During the
year 2,190 specimens including blood smears, pus, fæces, scrapings,
etc. were received and diagnosis was confirmed in 522 cases as
