Research.—During the year under report further experiments in
connection with the goat virus (blood) were taken up. In a series
of experiments, blood virus was found to be quite viable upto the
19th day when stored in refrigerator (45° F) but the reactions were
found to be proportionately delayed.

In one of the experiments, oral administration of 5 c.c. of fresh
blood virus proved abortive and the goats, on immunity test,
reacted satisfactorily. This showed that the oral administration of
blood virus failed to produce infection in goats.
