266. Honorabell and loweing frind, I howp ye woll pardown my long seillans; for
I dowt not bot ye hawe hard what caws of mellancolie I hawe had sins my
coming to this contrie. What with my Lord my brother's being so dangoursly

ther prosidings, which trewly I am sory from my hartt to heir of ; for I feir it
shall twrn to ther own rowin in the end. For it is confidently reported heir
that the King is resolwed to mak his own partie good with them be the strong-
hand, seing no other tiling can mak them contentt. So being loth to trubell
you anay farther, bot my inteir lowe and serwis ewer being remembred to yow,
