The Royal Air Force competed for the first time in the Inter-
Service Swimming Championships.
Colonel W. Allason made an Inter-Service Record Plunge of

The Army Swimming Union became affiliated to the Amateur

Army Swimmers, competed in the International Military
Swimming Tournament in Belgium.
Inter-Unit Water Polo Championship instituted, and for
which the Otter S.C. presented a Cup.

Inter-Unit Team Swimming Championship introduced.
Combined Services One Mile Championship held and Air
Marshal Sir John Whitworth-Jones presented Challenge Cup
to be held by the winner for one year.
Plunging discontinued in Army and Inter-Service Champ-
ionships.

Inter-Service Championships divided into three separate
Competitions; Swimming, Diving and Water Polo.
One Mile event included in the Inter-Service Swimming
Championships.
