The following special rules will apply :—
(a) Medical Examination. The medical examination of teams
and reserves will be carried out immediately after the weighing-in.
(b) Weighing-In. A neutral officer i/c weighing-in will be agreed
upon by the two teams concerned. He will weigh-in each team and
reserves separately but on the same scales and at the same venue
at a time and place to be arranged mutually between teams but as
far as possible not more than twelve hours before the boxing match
is scheduled to begin. The District or Command Sports Board will
make a decision should the teams concerned fail to come to an agree-
ment on this point. No boxer who is more than two pounds over-
weight when he steps on to the scales for the first time will be allowed
to take off weight and must be scratched or, of course, he may be
selected for the next higher weight. The scales will be open for a
period of one hour which is the maximum time each boxer will have
in which to make the weight. The weighing-in of each Team will
take place only in the presence of the officer i/c. weighing-in, his
assistant (who will be appointed by him) and the team manager of
the team being weighed-in.
(c) Sealed lists. After the medical inspection and weighing-in
of the team and reserves has been completed and before anyone
who was present has left the room, the team manager will hand the
officer i/c. weighing-in a list of his selected boxer for each weight
and a certificate to the effect that the boxers at welter and light-
welter have been designated 1 st and 2nd string in strict order of merit
The list will be kept secret by the officer i/c. weighing-in until the
opposing team and reserves have been medically examined and
weighed-in and the team manager has also handed his sealed list.
