RULES OF THE INTER-UNIT COMPETITION
39. Composition of Team, Eligibility, etc.
(a) Teams to consist of eleven of any rank at the following weights:
Bantam
I
Light-Middle
I
Feather
I
Middle
I
Light
I
Light Heavy
I
Light-Welter 2 Heavy
I
Welter 2
The boxers at welter and light-welter will be designated 1st and
2nd string respectively and placed in strict order of merit. A Certi-
ficate to this effect, signed by the Team Manager, who must be an
officer, will be handed to the Officer i/c Weighing In when he hands
over the sealed list (see 39(c)).
(b) At least ten days before each match in any phase of the com-
petition takes place, units will exchange a list of boxers from which
the team must be selected. The list must be accompanied by a
certificate, signed by O.C. unit, stating that the boxers' names on the
list are amateurs. Any objection as regards amateur status of any boxer
must be lodged with the unit concerned at least 72 hours before the
match takes place. Similar lists and certificates must be submitted
to the Hon. Secretary, Army B.A., by each team in the Zone A Semi-
Final and the Army Final. Any team boxing an ineligible boxer
under these rules shall be disqualified unless the Army B.A. Exe-
cutive Committee otherwise determine. No boxer may be excused
duty for training purposes or put on special light duties
so
as to
enable him to have more time in which to train. A man is eligible
to box from the time he starts his recruit's training. In the event
of a recruit joining within ten days of a match and being required
to box, notification will be made to the opposing team by telephone
and confirmed in writing. No boxer may represent more than one
unit in one season, except as allowed by the A.S.C.B. general ruling
on Eligibility of Players (see pages 40-45). All competitors must be
18 years of age or over before being allowed to compete in the
Championships.
(c) The following boxers will be excluded from participating
in any

unit Team entering the competition.

Holders of titles of following Associations
A.B.A. Champions.
Scottish A.B.A. Champions.
Welsh A.B.A. Champions.
I.S.B.A. Champions.
Army B.A. Champions.
(ii)
Holders of titles of following Provincial Associations
London A.B.A. Champions.
Midland Counties A.B.A. Champioins.
