| Description | Flooded road near Tincourt, France. This image shows a flooded road on the outskirts of Tincourt. There is a cavalryman on the road alongside a horse and cart. On the left there are trees lining the road. On the right there is a row of horses standing in what looks like a flooded field. In the distance are the rooftops of Tincourt. Tincourt was occupied by British troops in 1917, so it is likely that this image dates from then. Tincourt today has both a British and a German cemetery. [Original reads: 'A scene on the road near Tincourt.'] |
