Description	A breviary written in Scotland, which belonged to the Mortimer family of Fowlis Easter in Angus. It dates from the mid-15th century and includes references to events in Scotland and within the Mortimer family. In its original binding of wooden boards.

Medieval and early modern manuscripts
Description	A selection of over 200 volumes of medieval and early modern manuscripts, dating from the 9th to the 17th century. Some of Scotland's most important early manuscripts are included in the many Scottish volumes. These are complemented by interesting and significant works of international origin, including volumes from France, England, the Low Countries, Italy and a number of other countries. Most of the manuscripts were collected by the Advocates Library, the forerunner of the National Library of Scotland.
