View a selection of some of the oldest and most interesting manuscripts in the National Library of Scotland's collections.
More than 200 volumes from our collection of medieval and early modern manuscripts are available from this site.
The volumes in this digitised collection come from a range of different countries.
They include such important volumes as the 15th-century manuscripts of John Barbour's 'Bruce' and Blind Hary's 'Wallace', the Bannatyne Manuscript and the Auchinleck Manuscript.
Most of these manuscripts have been digitised for the first time.
