'JVeruolar per le tenebre notturne
Verun solco di luce, e non ascolta
Di Duvranna sul l'io la grata voce
Dell'amabile Oitona. — Ove se' ita (a)
Nel fior di tua beltà , figlia di Nua ,
Vaga donzella dalla nera chioma ?
Ove ne andasti tu? Latmo è nel campo (ò),
Ma nelle sale tue tu promettesti
Di ridianer , tu promettesti a Gaulo
Di rimaner nelle paterne sale,
Finch' ei tornasse a te, finché tornasse
Dalle rive di Strumo alla donzella
