B'adhbhail an Taibhse fudh sprochd
Bu lionrahor osnaich a chleibhe
Bh'i rosg fann mar lasair mhuchta,
A shleagh na ceo re ciil a sgeithe.
Mar gh-ioith fhàis ah uaimh nan cos,
Bha tulreadh, a's bron na ghuth.
Bu chianoil aigne Naois a' claistin
Sgeala a bhàis o an chruth.
*^ Cia fata mu bhell t'aigne trom,
A Naois a's lonnmhor nob"
Do radh Inghean ChoIIa gu liom,
" A's gun agams' ach brigh do ghloir.
