ALLOA BIBLE SOCIETY.
This Society (which was instituted over forty years
ago) is auxiliary to the National Bible Society of Scotland,
and contributes annually to its funds about £100. President,
Andrew Mitchell, The Walk ; Vice-president, David Paton ,■
joint-secretaries, Dr Bruce and Rev. L. W. Rennison ; joint-
treasurers, Thomas Brydie and A. P. Forrester-Paton. Re-
presentative member, Thomas Brydie.
LADIES' LOAN TRACT SOCIETY.
This very useful Society has existed in Alloa for about
forty years. The town is divided into districts, and the
ladies give tracts on loan, leaving one at almost every house.
Hon. Secretary, Alex. Toshach; treasurer, Miss Fotheringham.
Supply of tracts is obtained from London and Edinburgh.
The Society is upheld by a collection taken on the occasion of
a sermon preached under the auspices of the Society once in
the three years.
KINCARDINE-ON-FORTH YOUNG MEN'S
CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.
Meetings once a fortnight, October to March ; once a
month in summer. President, W. Mustart ; Vice-President,
James Smith ; Secretary and Treasurer, James Mustart.
Place of Meeting — John Street Hall.
KINCARDINE BAND OF HOPE.
Meets weekly in Keith Street Hall. The organization is
under the superintendence of J. Gardiner.
TILLICOULTRY YOUNG WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings in the Christian
Fellovi^ship Rooms, and the hours are spent in sewing,
knitting, reading, &c. Superintendents, Mrs Paton and
Mrs Archibald ; treasurer, Maggie M'Laren ; secretary,
Helen M'Lellan ; there are also twelve of a committee.
Superintendents and members of committee take, in rotation,
the management of meetings. Average attendance, 60. There
is a junior division, which meets on Thursday evening in same
place. Librarians — Miss Mary. Gibson and Miss Archibald.
