OLD TOWN MISSION BAND OF HOPE.
About the end of October, 1878, a Band of Hope was formed
in connection with the Sabbath School at Old Town Mission,
and has 150 members. Oflace-bearers : — Thomas Campbell,
president ; Alexander Carmichael, vice-president ; James
Robin, superintendent ; Miss Erskine, secretary and
treasurer; James Bayne, leader of praise. The committee
is composed of members of the teaching staff of
the Mission Sabbath School, Weekly meetings are held at
the Greenside Mission Chapel during winter.
YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.
This Association is a branch of the Edinburgh Young Women's
Christian Association. Miss Moir is the secretary. Hon.
members — Lady Balfour of Burleigh, Mrs Tyndall Bruce
Johnstone, Mrs Thomson (Huttonpark), Miss Forrester Paton,
Misses Carmichael (Mill Street), Mrs France, Mrs A. Moir,
Miss Strang, Miss Paton (Cowden), Miss Agnes Paton, Miss
Home Hay, Mrs Wm. Bailey, Mrs Thomson Paton, Mrs W.
Milne (King Street), Mrs Johnston (Mar Street), Mrs
Brydie (Mar Street), Mrs A. T. Arrol, and Miss Carmichael
(Mill Street), Mrs Harvey (Schaw Park), Mrs Kirk (Alloa),
Mrs Hannay (Bridge of Allan), Librarians — Miss Brydie
and Miss Catherine Young, The Association meets in
premises in Back o' Dykes every Friday evening at 7.30.
There is also a Girls' Meeting and a Mothers' Meeting held
during the week. Membership about 100.
TULLIBODY SABBATH MORNING FELLOWSHIP
ASSOCIATION.
Formed November, 1883. Office-bearers : — Rev. A. Thorn,
hon. president ; R, Kinmond, president ; D. Hunter, vice-
president ; A. A. Fleming, secretary ; and four members of a
committee.
