TILLICOULTRY LITERARY ASSOCIATION.
This Association was formed in 1879, and meets during
session in Free Church Hall on Monday evenings. The
patrons are Revs. Joseph Conn, M.A., B.D., Wm. Galletly,
James Davidson and W. J. Miller, M.A, ; Hon. President,
Geo. Watson ; president, John Wilson, M.A. ; vice-president,
G. Brownlie ; secretary, W. B. Robieson ; treasurer,
James Finlay.
CLACKMANNAN AND KINROSS-SHIRES MEDICAL
ASSOCIATION— Instituted 1837.
President, Dr Morris, Dunfermline.
Secretary and Treasurer Dr Home Hay, Alloa.
The Objects of the Society are —
1. To promote a friendly intercourse among the members, 2.
The adrancement of medical science by reading dissertations on
medical subjects, and by discussing unusual or important cases.
3. To circulate amongst the members the most approved
medical periodicals. Society meets generally once a year.
GLASGOW-CLACKMANNANSHIRE ASSOCIATION.
In 1882, a meeting of the natives of Clackmannanshire,
resident in Glasgow, was held in Drummond's Temperance
Hotel, when it was agreed to form an association to be called
the "Glasgow-Clackmannanshire Association.'' The objects
of the association are the moral, intellectual, and physical
improvement of its members, and to cultivate a friendly inter-
course by meeting together once a month. Office-bearers for
the year are as follows : — President, Rev. Dr Stewart, St
Bernard's Parish ; vice-president, Jas. Beveridge, Established
Normal Seminary ; secretary, John M'Gregor, 18 Cadogan
Street ; treasurer, J. S. Wilson, 101 Cowcaddens. There is a
committee of five members.
