SOCIETIES AND CLUBS.
THE ALLOA SOCIETY OF NATURAL SCIENCE AND
ARCHAEOLOGY.— Instituted, January 1863.
The object of the Society is the study of Natural Science
and Archteology by the exhibition and preservation of speci-
mens, the reading of communications, by lectures, excursions,
and the formation of a library and museum. Annual meeting
held second Tuesday of January. By a motion adopted some
years ago, ladies are now admissable to the membership of the
society. Present Membership upwards of 100.
Patron : The Right Hon. the Earl of Mar and Kellie.

The Objects of the Society are —
1. To promote a friendly intercourse among the members. 2.

3. To circulate amongst the members the most approved
medical periodicals. [TAe Society meets annually.']
