Assurances, either with or -without the benefits of participation in the profits, may be effected
by any of the following modes of payment, the rate charged being equitably adjusted to the
risk ; viz. : —
By one, two, three, or other limited number of payments.
By annual, half-yearly, or quarterly payments for life.
By annual, half-yearly, or quarterly payments at a reduced rate for the first 5, 7, 10, 15, or
20 years, and thereafter at a rate equivalent to the risk for the rest of life.
Assurances may also be effected for shorter periods than the whole of life, as for one, two, five,
seven, or ten years — or the sum assured to be payable on attaining a certain age, and in the event
of death, if it should happen previously.
Annuities and Endovraients are granted by the Company.
In short, any transaction in which a contingency upon human life is involved, may be effected
with this office upon equitable terms.
Loans are granted by the Company upon Heritable and Personal Security, by way of Re-
deemable Annuity or otherwise.
