LIFE Insurances effected at moderate rates of Premium, with entire exemption from the liability
of Partnership.
The last Bonus, (1862,) besides reserving a Sum to accumulate towards the next division,
averaged from 45 to 88 per cent., between the ages of 25 and 50, on the respective amounts of Pre-
miums paid.
Thus, for example, a Policy effected at the age of 25, for £1000, in 1856, and upon which
Premiums in 1862 had been paid to the amount of £159, 16s. 8d., had a Bonus declared of £140, or
only less than £19, 16s. 8d. of the amount of the whole Premiums paid.
Invested Funds, £1,066,110.— Annual Income, over £141,000.
