FOKEIGN AND COLONIAL POST CARDS.
Single and Reply Official Post Cards are transmissible to all parts of the
world — Single Cards, Id each ; Reply Cards, 2d each. (Inland Post Cards are
transmissible abroad if the additional postage required is supplied by postage
stamps being affixed. ) Engravings or advertisements may appear on the front
of a Post Card, if they do not interfere with the clear indication of the
address, in addition to the name and address of the recipient La writing or on
a'gummed label not exceeding in size 2 inches by | in., and the name and
address of the sender indicated in writing, or by means of a stamp, or any
typographical process.
Private Post Cards bearing adhesive stamps of the value of one penny, and
private reply cards with adhesive stamps of the value of one penny on each
half, may be sent as post cards to places abroad, provided that they are in
conformity with the official post cards. They must be of the same size and
substance as the official cards, and must have the words "Post Card" printed
on the address side. The reply halves of private double cards must bear in
print the words "Post Card — Great Britain and Ireland" and "Reply."
Plain cards without any printed inscription cannot be sent abroad as single
•or reply Post Cards.

Dimensions. — The dimensions allowed are : —
For Azores {via Lisbon), Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cameroons, Corsica, Denmark,
Finland, Liberia, Madeira, Montenegro, Morocco {via Hamburg), Portugal
(direct), Roumania, Russia-in-Europe, Samoa (via Hamburg), Servia —
2 feet in any direction.
Parcels which slightly exceed 2 ft. in length are accepted for transmission
toAustria,Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, LuxemburgjNorway,
Sweden, and Switzerland, provided that their other dimensions are in-
considerable.
yor Algeria, Annam, Argentine Republic, Azores (t^ia France), Bolivia, Cape
Verd Islands, Cayenne, Chili, China (Kiaochow and Tsintau), Cochin-
China, Comoro Islands, Congo Free State, Dutch Guiana, and East and
West.Indies, Eritrea, French Congo, German East and South-west Africa,
Greece, Guadaloupe, Java, Madagascar, Malta, Martinique, Miquelon,
Morocco {via France), New Caledonia, New Guinea (German), Obock,
Paraguay, Persia (except Bandar Abas, Bushire, Jask, and Linga), Peru,
Portugal (via France), Portuguese West Africa, Reunion, Senegal, Spain,
Tahiti, Tonquin, Tripoli (Africa), Tunis, Turkey, Uruguay, Venezuela —
•greatest length, 2 ft. ; greatest length and girth combined, 4 ft.
^or Canada — Greatest length, 2 ft. ; greatest depth or width, 1 ft.
For Mexico — Greatest length, 2 ft. ; greatest girth, 4 ft.

For places named in the Table of Parcel Postage— other than those
detailed above — same as for Inland Parcel Post.
The postage must in all cases be paid in advance, by means of postage stamps
affixed by the sender. Each parcel must be plainly directed, and should
bear the words "Parcel Post" in the upper left-hand corner, and the name
and address of the sender. The date of posting should also be added.
A parcel must not be posted in a letter box, but, as in the case of the Inland
Parcel Post, must be taken into a Post Office and presented at the counter.
Parcels will be liable to Customs duties and regulations, and the sender of
«ach parcel -wall be required to make a Customs declaration furnishing — upon
a. special form provided for the purpose, which can be obtained at any Post
