HAMILTON'S AJSTNUITY FUND.
Trustees — The Hon. the Lord Provost and the
two Senior Bailies of Glasgow, the Ministers of the
parishes of Govan and Gorbals, and the Chairman of
the Govan Combination Parish Council, all for the
time being; T. Smith, clerk, 32 Main Street, Gorbals.
Under the Act the trustees pay the sum of £2 per
annum, to be given in clothing as a prize to the suc-
cessful competitor at the Annual Ploughing Match in
the parish of Cathcart; and annuities of £4 each to
decayed natives and residenters of forty years and up-
wards in the Barony of Gorbals of Glasgow, such
persons being not under the age of sixty-five years.
Said Annuities may, under certain circumstances, be
increased until the same shall amount to X8,

The society was instituted in 1791 for the purpose,
of providing a fund out of which certain allowances
might be made to the ordinary members of the society
dming sickness, iniirmity, and superannuation..
The entry money for ordinary members is 10s. 6d.,.
besides quarterly payments in proportion to age.

GLASGOW LODGING-HOUSE GOSPEL UNION,
Headquarters — 20 King Street, City.
This Union is quite unsectarian. Its objects are
to carry the gospel to the lodging-houses in Glasgow ;
to assist by practical means deserving cases found
therein ; to rescue therefrom all persons desiring to
reform, and, as far as possible, restore them to their
friends, or provide for them a home with every
requisite for leading a better life ; also to carry on
aggressive mission work in the slums. Secretary,

ROYAL SCOTS FUSILIERS' BENEFIT
ASSOCIATION.

The association is composed of non-commissionec
officers and men who have served in the 1st or 2nc
Battalions of the Royal Scots Fusiliers.
Its aims are to grant annuities to members at th(
age of 65 years, and for securing at death, either be-
fore or after that age, an allowance for funera
expenses.
SERVANTS' HOME OR HOUSE OF MERCY.

Under the care of the Sisters of Mercy.
In this Home girls of good character are pro-
tected and trained for domestic service. Its suppori
depends mainly on laundry work, which is respect-
fully solicited. Donations in money or clothing wil
be gratefully received.
GLASGOW BORDER COUNTIES
ASSOCIATION.
The objects of the association shall be— (1) Thi
cultivation ot friendly intercourse among the mem
hers ; (2) the relief of persons belonging to any on'
of the counties residing in or passing through Glas-
gow in indigent or distressed circumstances; (3) ti
encourage, in so far as the funds are available fo
the purpose, the cause of education in the cotmtie
by the presentation of prizes, or otherwise.
