AND FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
Life AniiEiities.
PRESENT AND DEFERRED ANNUITIES are granted, on favour-
able terms. The plan on which Deferred Annuities may be secured is
peculiar to this Society, and affords facilities which cannot be obtained
elsewhei'e.
1st. Any sum, from £1 per annum (or 5s. l^d. per quarter), may be
paid for such an Annuity.
2nd, The payments may be continued for such time as the contributor
pleases, and the Annuity may then be entered upon.
3rd. At any time before the Annuity is entered upon, the member may
receive back the whole of his payments, with accumulations thereon, the
amount of which will depend upon the time during which the payments
shall have been made.
ith. The amount of the Annuity at any time depends upon the age of
the member, and the number of years he sh.iU have paid; consequently,
the longer the payments are continued, the Annuity increases very ra-
pidly, as will be seen from the following
EXAMPLES.
1st. A person at 25, commencing an annual payment of £1, or a quar-
terly payment of 5s. IJd., or a monthly payment of Is. 9d., may. when he
is 50 years of age, cease his payments, and enter upon an Annuity of
£3 Is. lid. ; or he may continue his payments till he is
55, when the Annuity will be . . , . £i 18 5
Or till 65, „ „ „ ' 13 11 9
Or till 70, „ „ „ 25 1 4
2nd. A person at 30, paying £4 annually, or 10s. 6d. quarterly, or 7s.
monthly, and continuing his p.oyments till he is
50, will then receive an Annuity of £8 15 4
Or continuing them till 60, „ „ „ 24 4
65, „ „ „ 41 13 4
,, ,, 70, „ „ „ 77 4 4
By the above plan of Deferred Annuities, members can never, from
change of circumstances, or other causes, lose the money they may have
paid for such a purpose, as is the case in other OflBces granting Annu-
ities. It is therefore eminently deserving tlie attention of provident per-
sons of all classes.
