THE ABERDEEN MUTUAL ASSURANCE
THIS Society has been upwards of Eighteen years in successful opera,
tion, and gives every facility to all classes of the community tliroughout
the kingdom, to avail themselves of the special and important advan.
tages which it is enabled to hold out, by the Acts of Parliament under
which it is Enrolled, in all and each of the branches of its business, which
are conducted on the strictest principles of Economy, Security, and
Liberality.
Life Assui'aace Branch.
LIFE ASSURANCES effected either on the deposit or ordinary system,
and affording many excldsive advantages not offered by any other
Office in Scotland, among which are, —
1. Polices issued free of Stamp Duty, on Assurances not exceeding
£200, on which sum the duty would be £1 in another office,
2. Power to nominate Wife, Children, or Trustees for them, or parties
lending on security of the Policy ; saving thereby the expense of Deed
Stamps and Legal Charges.
3. Exemption from Inventory and Legacy Duties on the death of the
Assured, thus enabling the parties nomiuated to receive the amount of
Assurances free of the heavy duties payable when- effected in other
OfiBces, varying from £4 to £lt on every £100 Assured.
4. The sum Assured may be protected against the arrest of creditors.
5. Members incur no personal liability, an ample capital being accu-
mulated and invested in Government and Heritable Securities, at a high
rate of Interest.
Besides these exclusive privileges, all the other advantages of Mutual
Assurance are amply secured to the members. The whole pkofits are
divisible every five years ; and the Premiums may be paid monthly,
quarterly, half-yearly, annually, or in one sum, to suit the convenience
of the Assured.
