MUNICIPAL INSTITUTIONS.
Third Ward. — To consist of that portion of the royalty which
is included within the following boundary, viz. : — Beginning
at the point where the Millburn crosses Spa-street, near the
steps of Gilcomston ; thence along Woolmanhill and School -
hill to a point opposite the north end of Back-wynd ; along
Back-wynd southward to Union-street ; along Union-street
eastward to opposite the head of Shiprow, down Shiprow and
Shorebrae, and in prolongation of the termination of the latter
to the intersection with the river Dee ; thence up the river Dee
to the mouth of the burn of Ferryhill, and from the mouth of
the burn of Ferryhill, following the boundary of the royalty, to
the point on the Millburn, near the steps of Gilcomston, where
the description of the Ward began. — Polling-place, at the
Water Reservoir, Union Place.
The following Parishes are comprehended within the respective Wards.
Ward First — Comprehending North, Greyfriars, and St. Cle-
ment's Parishes, and a small part of Old Machar, at Cause-
way end.
Ward Second. — Comprehending East and West Parishes, and
a small part of Old Machar, at Causewayend.
Ward Third Comprehending South Parish, and that part of
Old Machar within the Ward.

PARLIAMENTARY BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY.
From the point on the north-west of the town, at which the
Scatter Burn joins the river Don, down the river Don to the point
at which the same joins the sea; thence along the seashore to the
point at which the river Dee joins the sea ; thence up the river Dee
to a point which is distant a hundred yards (measured along the
river Dee) above the Bridge of Dee ; thence, in a straight line,
to the point at which the march between the parishes of Old
Machar and Banchory- Devenick crosses the old Deeside road;
thence northward along the inarch between the parishes of Old
Machar and Banchory- Devenick, and Old Machar and Newhills,
to the point first described. — The Parliamentary Burgh has been
divided for convenience of polling, into the following five Wards or
Districts : —
First Ward or District. — Comprehending East and St. Cle-
ment's Parishes. — Polling-place, at or near Weigh-house
Square.
Second Ward or District Comprehending North and Grey-
friars Parishes. — Polling-place, at or near north side of
Castle-street.
Third Ward or District Comprehending westand South Pa-
rishes. — Polling-place, at or near the north Gate of Robert
Gordon's Hospital.
Fourth Ward or District. — Comprehending those parts of the
Parish of Old Machar which are situated to south of the Den-
burn, and that part of the Parish of Banchory-Devenick, near
the Bridge of Dee, comprehended within the boundary of the
Burgh, as fixed by the said Act of Parliament — Polling-
place, at or near the crossing of Rose-street and Thistle-street
northward from Union-place.
Fifth Ward or District. — Comprehending those parts of the
Parish of Old Machar, which are situated between the Den-
burn on the south, and the river Don on the north. — Polling-
place, at or near the Town-house of Old Aberdeen.
Number of Parliamentary Electors. — 2529.
