The objects of this Institution, which is entirely sup-
ported by voluntary contributions, are (1) to provide
for the free medical and surgical treatment of women
afflicted with disease, and more especially with disease
peculiar to their sex, unsuitable for the wards of a
general infirmary, and to provide a dispensary and
fm-nish advice and medicine to those who cannot be
received into the hospital ; (2) to promote the ad-
vancement of medical and surgical science with
reference to diseases of women, and to provide for
the efficient mstruction of students in this depart-
ment of medical knowledge ; and (3) to educate and
train women in the special duties of women's nurses.
Patients admitted to the hospital on Mondays, Tues-
days, Thursdays, and Fridays ; but cases of urgency
admitted at any time. The dispensary, open for free
advice daily (except Saturdays) at 4 p.m.
GLASGOW EAR INSTITUTION,

This Institution is open daily, at 1 and 7 o'clock,
for the treatment of patients suftering from diseases
of the ear and defects of hearing. Average number
of patients treated annually, 1060. Aural surgeon,

THE _ GLASGOW CENTRAL DISPENSARY.
The object of the dispensary is to provide free
medical and surgical advice, and, when necessary,
and as the funds permit, medicine also to the sick
poor. The premises are at 78 George Street, con-
venient to a district of the city where such a charity
is much needed. The dispensary is open every lawful
day, except Saturday, from 12 to 4 o'clock.

The Glasgow Public Dispensary was established
for the purpose of giving gratuitous medical advice to
persons in necessitous circumstances not receiving
parochial relief, and is conducted by various medical
officers, each giving advice in a special department
of disease to which he has devoted himself.
Opportunities are afforded to students to study
special diseases under the medical staff, who conduct
cUniques twice weekly. Patients unable to come to
the dispensary are visited at their own houses by
students under the supervision of the medical officers.
The dispensary is supported by voluntary contribu-
tions, but advice being gratuitous, it is expected that
those who are able will pay for medicine supplied.
