equitably on all ages.
The Life Assets are over £1,650,000; and a statement showing how these are invested can
be had.
The sum of over £5,742,000 has been paid during the existence of the Office for Claims under
Life Policies, of which amount £1,411,000 was for Bonuses in actual money, representing a still
larger reversionary sum payable at death.
The Bonus Valuation is made up Quinquennially, and Policies in force at each valuation
participate therein in proportion to the time they have been in force.
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
This Company undertakes the Assurance of almost every species of Property in the United
Kingdom, at rates of Premium and upon principles which will be found quite as advantageous to
the interests of the Assured as those offered by any other. The Directors can confidently refer
to the well-known character of the Company for liberality and promptitude in the discharge of
claims made upon it during the many years it has been established.

Houses, Furniture, Stock-in-trade, &c., assured for the year, or any shorter period.
The Policies of this Company cover losses occasioned by the explosion of Gas. Losses
occasioned by Lightning will also be paid.
The FIRE DUTY being wholly abolished, even the least Hazardous Property ought now ia
every case to be Assured, and existing Assurances can be increased without increasing the cost
