The following places are hereby deemed and ap-
pointed Public Stands, under reservation of all rights
of private leasehold property, viz. : —
1. Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway Ter-
minus, including St. Vincent place;
two cabs in front of Royal Exchange ;
not e.Kceeding ten cabs on the south side
of George square, six on the east side,
six on the north side of the Square, and
twelve in the centre of C.chran street.
No cabs permitted to stand on the west
side of George square, and those on the
north side of the Square and in Cochran
street are only allowed to stand from 6
a.m. to 11 p.m.
2, Caledonian Railway, Buchanan Street, and
Princes Theatre.
8, Glasgov,', Paislo}', and South-Western
Railway, Arrival and Departure Ter-
minus, including Clyde place and Com-
merce street.
4. Caledonian & Barrhead Eailv.\".y station,
Upper Main street, Gorbals, including
north side of Cumberland street, from
Main street to Surre,y street.
5. Paislej' road, near Kianing place.
6. BroomielaAv, Upper Wharf, including west
side of Robertson street.
7. St. Enoch square.
8. Gordon street, west end, and Hope street;
restricted to three in each street, and not
more than six cabs in St. Vincent street

Carnages let out for hire at other places, or met
with, if not engaged.— kW carriages let out on any
station or place for hire shall be subject to the Stand
Rules; as also carriages when met vrith, if not at
the time actually engaged.
Driver to deliver Reference Ticiet on demand to
Hirer of Carriage. — Every driver shall deliver to
the person hiring his carriage (if demanded), either
when entering the carriage, on any part of the jour-
ney, or at its termination, a ticket, .according to the
pattern shown in the ofEce of the Registrar, having
printed thereon the number of the carriage, the
name and address of the proprieter, and the follow-
ing words—" Reference in casi3 of incivility, loss, or
overcharge,"
FARES. :
It shall be in the option of the hirer to engage
any hackney carriage, either by time or distance,
provided this is done at the time of hiring.
