Secondly, Upon every policy effected for the whole term ef
life, the insurer will participate in the profits of the Company,
by having periodical additions made to the sums insured, to
the amount of two-third parts of such clear gains and profits.
At the same time, they will be protected by the ample capi-
tal above-mentioned from every chance of loss-
Lives insured with the Imperial are allowed to pass by
sea from one part of the United Kingdom to another ; and
also, in time of peace, to pass in King's ships and packets, or
other decked vessels, between British ports and such foreign
ports as lie between Ostend and Havre-de-Grace, both in.
eluded, without extra premium, and without being subjected
to the inconvenience of applying for the special leave of the
Directors, as heretofore required by the usual condition of life;
