Regulations.
Itno, The old fares are repealed, and those before men-
tioned are substituted in lieu thereof, to be calculated by
the hour or mile only.
2do, That the number of each Coach shall be deliver-
ed by the Magistrates, and affixed as they shall direct ;
and that there shall not be the same number on two
Coaches ; that no Coach wanting such number shall be
allowed to ply.
3tio, That no insufficient Coach or Horses shall be al-
lowed to ply ; and when any of the proper furniture of
coach steps, springs, blinds, glasses, or check-strings for
stopping the coach are awanting, it shall be lawful to de-
tain from the hire one shilling, or the whole hire, if it
shall not amount to more. The coachman always to
keep the check-strings in his left hand when driving, un-
der a penalty not exceeding five shillings,
4/"o, That there shall not be fewer than five coaches on
the different stands by nine o'clock in the morning, the
coaches taking their rotation according to their arrival on
the stand under a penalty of ten shillings* and that all
coachmen attending for a fare, shall either sit on the
coach-box or stand at the horses' head, under the penal-
ty of two shillings and sixpence for each offence, and
that no fewer than five coaches shall continue to ply till
twelve o'clock at night.
bto, That when a company has taken a coach at
twelve o'clock at night or after it, fare and half shall be
paid ; but no additional fares shall be charged from the
theatre or assembly rooms.
6to, That the stances for the coaches shall be as fol-
lows :— -Prince's street east end, Prince's street west end,
IS 13.
