This Company was established in 1805, and is incorpo-
rated by royal charter, confirming the joint and individual
responsibility of all the partners, thereby affording the
most ample security to the insured.
For the convenience of Farmers, and others requiring
insurances for short periods, short date policies are grant-
ed ; and farm stock is insured in one sum (without the
average clause) vifherever situated on the farm.
Proprietors may be insured against loss of rents by fire,
at the same rate of prem.ium that is charged for the build-
ings.
Persons insuring for seven years are charged for six only.
The rates of premium charged by the Company are — for
common insurance, . . L.O 1 6 per cent.
Hazardous, . . 2 6 do.
Doubly Hazardous, . 4 6 do.
Losses are promptly settled, and no charge is made for
policies, when the sum insured exceeds L.200.

AND INCORPORATED BY ROYAL CHARTER.
The important advantage offered by this Society is a
septennial division of the WHOLE PROFITS amongst
the Insured, in proportion to the Premiums paid by them ;
and, as the Insured are also guaranteed from responsibility,
they thus derive all the benefit of Partners in any other
Company, without the advance of capital, and without
risk.
