published, in proof of which a comparison is confidently invited with the Tables of any ottier
Office in the United Kingdom. ,
2d, The facilities atforded to all classes of insurers, by having it in their power to adopt
either an even rate for life, an ascending scale, or a descending scale, a.?, may suit the conve-
nience of parties ; or further, an alternative plan, by which one-third of the even rate ot
premium (on policies for the whole of life) may remain unpaid, and be deducted from the
sum insured at the end of life, with interest at the rate of four per cent.
3rf/y, The adaptation of the Tables to any service, or to any country in the world ; and it
will be found that in Foreign Insurances also, the extra rates charged are considerably lower

Athly, The Insurance of persons of advanced age, and also the undertaking of risks that
might" be rejected by other offices, at moderate rates, deduced from very extensive and accu-
rate observations. . .
5thhj, The great facility afforded for the transfer of policies, the Directors, instead ol
requiring assignments of these to be executed, in every case issuing a new policy in name ot
the intended assignee, on surrendering the former, and merely paying the price of the new
stamp.
