Owing to the failure of the Deputies of Sir George St. Poll
and Sir Henry Yelverton for granting licences for selling
wines and aqua vitae the agreements with them are void,
and in some cases new licences are granted. All who have
had agreements may have them confirmed by the new
Deputies on payment of the fine, during one month. After
that date mayors, &c., are to shut the doors of all who have not
taken out new licences. Copies under the hand of Clerk of
Council to be authentic.

Persons to grant long leases.

Cites proclamation 21 Oct. 1609, No. 197, q.v. Forbids
any spiritual person to make a lease of any ecclesiastical or
corporate property for more than 21 years. Any such lease
may be brought into Chancery and cancelled. Grantors to
be punished by royal prerogative. This to be proclaimed.

His Majesty hath ordained that all Births, Baptismes.
Marriages, and Burialls shall be entered and enrolled from
time to time, and for that purpose appoints Sir George Keir
to the office of Public Registrar in Ireland. He is to take
6d. from the parents of every child baptized, 6d. from every
married couple, and 6d. for every burial, to be received by
the parson, vicar, curate, or other minister for him. Four
deputies appointed, at Dublin for Leinster, at Ardmagh for
Vlster, at Corke for Munster, and at Galway for Connaught.

The British undertakers are bound by the terms of their
letters patents not to plant a mixed plantation of Irish and
English, but only of English and inland Scots. As there are
a large number of Irish who still reside upon the lands given
to planters. His Majesty commands that before the 1st of
May next ensuing they shall remove with all their belong¬
ings. If they still continue, to be fined 10s. sterling; and
if they continue after that, to be fined as the Lord Deputy
and Council shall think lit.
