Certain noblemen complaining of the government of
Ireland have been heard by the King in person, and select
commissioners have been sent there to make inquiry. This
has encouraged them to speak disrespectfully of the King's
Deputy. Though not finally deciding eveiy question raised,
the King justifies him in every respect, and will punish any
contempt of him. Inferior ministers found in blame will
be corrected and punished.

Certain titulary Popish Archbishops, &c., Jesuits, Friars,
Seminary priests, &c., have stirred up opposition to the
Parliament about to be summoned in Ireland, with a view
to obtaining a connivance if not a toleration of religion, and
great sums of money have been contributed to uphold them.
Procl. 3 Jas. I [No. 182, q.v.] is cited. No toleration will
ever be yielded. All the said titulary Archbishops, &e., are
to leave Ireland before the last of September and not return.
No one is to harbour them. If they return they are to be
arrested and punished, unless they conform themselves and
repair to church duly and orderly.
