the Truth of thy Repentance; for wherefoever
there is tt ue Repentance, there mult be this god¬

2. A turning from tkofe evil Ways wherein iee hovt
formerly walked } as you may fee in the Example
of thole Penitents that are recorded in Scripture 5
ne of Paul, Peter, Zacheus and others, who upon
their Repentance turned from thofe ev;J Courfes
wherein they had formerly walked. Hereby
therefore,try the Ttuth of thy Repentance ; Hath
it wrought a Change and Alteration inlhyCcurfe
of Life ? Is there a forfajting of former fins ? Haft
thou left thy Swearing, thy Dnmkennefs, thy
Whoredoms, thy cozenings by falfe Weights and
Meafures? Canftthou fay of thyfelf, as Ptul did
