To John de Peblys, monk of Melrose, o.cist., b.dec. Indult for
John to study for seven years at a university, even if situated in
schismatical territory and to communicate with schismatics, not¬
withstanding apostolic decrees, or decrees of his own monastery or
any others to the contrary.

Suthirland, doncel, to marry the noblewoman Margaret de Duf,
Caithness diocese, notwithstanding their being related in the third
degree of consanguinity.

To the precentor of Glasgow. Mandate to confirm Henry Tode,
priest, Glasgow diocese, in possession of the parish church of Dum¬
fries, Glasgow diocese, a church with cure, value not exceeing 20
merks sterling to a non-resident, as he had doubted the validity
of his provision by ordinary authority by William, bishop of Glas¬
gow, who had received the resignation outside the curia for purposes
of exchange, of the parish church of Wamfray formerly held by
Henry, and the resignation of the said church of Dumfries from
Gilbert de Moussalde, and who had effected the exchange by the
same authority.

Ad perpetuam rei tnemoriam. It had been decreed that if a papal chap¬
lain is appointed motn proprio his consent was not necessary, and
