To the archdeacon of St Andrews in Scotland. Mandate to confirm
John de Balbryny, holding a perpetual benefice at the altar of St
Mary in the parish church of St Andrews in the city of St Andrews,
in possession of the parish church of Michkyl, St Andrews diocese,
value not exceeding 18 gold francs to a non-resident. John holding
the parish church of Auldcathy, said diocese, and John de Ponfret,
holding Michkyl wishing an exchange had resigned the churches
into the hands of Henry, bishop of St Andrews, outside the curia
who had accepted the resignations by ordinary authority and by
the same authority had effected the exchange; but John, however,
later doubting the validity of his possession sought confirmation
which is granted as above, notwithstanding that he is known to
hold the said perpetual benefice without cure at the altar of St Mary.

To the bishop of Moray. Mandate to collate Columba de Dunbar,
secular dean of the collegiate church of St Baya de Dunbar, St
Andrews diocese, kinsman of James, king of Scots, son of George, earl
of March in Scotland, to the hospital of Rothven, Aberdeen diocese,
as a reserved benefice without cure, value not exceeding £30 old
sterling to a non-resident, vacant by the promotion of Henry, then
holding it, to the bishopric of Moray, notwithstanding that Columba
is known to hold the said deanery, value not exceeding ^40 Scots.1
