To John, abbot of Dryburgh, and William, abbot of Holy wood,
o.prem. Mandate, at the petition of Robert, duke of Albany,
governor of Scotland, to visit all abbeys, priories and ecclesiastical
places of that order in Scotland to correct any abuses, since the abbot
of Premontre, Laon diocese, and the father abbots of these places
in England who are accustomed to make these visitations are all in
rebellion, until such times as they are reduced to obedience and not¬
withstanding any constitutions, letters, indult or exemptions to the
contrary.

To Robert Stewart, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Dunlop,
Glasgow diocese. Indult for Robert, kinsman of James, king of
Scots, and Robert, duke of Albany and governor of Scotland, dis¬
pensed of a defect of birth as the son of an unmarried man and an
unmarried woman to be promoted to all holy orders and first to hold
a benefice even if with cure and then to hold two other benefices
even if one were a canonry and prebend in a cathedral, by virtue
of which he had obtained the perpetual vicarage of Dunlop, Glas¬
gow diocese, to hold as many benefices of as many kinds as he wishes
with powers of exchange as often as he pleases.
