To the bishop of Sodor, Bernard Fortis, canon of Segorbe, and
Adain Mocaid, canon of Argyll. Mandate to permit Dominic
Dominici, clerk, Sodor diocese, to become a monk of the monastery
of Hy, and to ensure to him a portion of the goods of the
monastery; notwithstanding his defect of birth as the son of a priest
of that order and monastery and an unmarried woman, and that a
large part of the choir and chapter and other buildings are in ruins
and a great part of the lands of the monastery unlawfully occupied
by wicked men.

To the precentor of Glasgow, John de Merton and John Wause,
canons of Glasgow. Mandate to collate Nigel Colini, rector of the
parish church of St Columba de Kenewaden, Argyll diocese, b.de c.,
to the parish church of St Moneboch in Lochabar, Argyll diocese, a
church in lay patronage worth ^20 Scots to a non-resident, held
unlawfully for one month or more by Bean, bishop of Argyll, who
had also held it unlawfully along with the deanery of Argyll, a
dignity with cure, without a papal dispensation against John xxn’s
bull Execrabilis, and the provision to which, because of the negligence
of the ordinary, has devolved to the pope. Nigel is to hold the said
church notwithstanding that he is known to hold the said church of
St Columba, value not exceeding ^16 to a non-resident, and has
recently been dispensed to hold it along with another benefice with
or without cure, whether a dignity or parish church.1
