To John de Hawic, precentor of Glasgow, b.dec. Indult for John
to hold along with the precentorship of Glasgow, which is a non¬
major dignity with cure, one other benefice even if with cure
provided it is not a major or principal dignity in a cathedral or
collegiate church, with powers of exchange for two incompatible
benefices at the hands of the ordinary outside the curia, provided
they are not two parish churches, two major or principal dignities
in cathedral or collegiate churches, or one a major and the other a
principal dignity or one a parish church and the other either a major
or principal dignity.

To the abbot of the monastery of Paisley, Glasgow diocese. Mandate
to reserve to John de Hawic, priest, Glasgow diocese, recently dis¬
pensed of a defect of birth as the son of an unmarried man and an
unmarried woman, to be promoted to all holy orders and to hold a
benefice even if with cure, by virtue of which he had had himself
consecrated priest, a benefice in the gift of the bishop, dean and
chapter of Glasgow, to the value of 25 merks sterling if with cure,
and to the value of 18 merks sterling if without cure, provided it is
not a canonry and prebend.
