To the bishop of Candida Casa. Mandate to confirm Johanna de
Wardelau, of canonical age, as prioress of the monastery of
Hadyngton, o.cist., as she had doubted the validity of her title,
obtained on the death of Alice, late prioress, when the convent had
elected her notwithstanding a defect of birth as the daughter of an
unmarried man and woman from which she claimed to have been
dispensed by papal authority; following which having consented
to the election she had been consecrated by ordinary authority and
had received possession of the goods of the monastery.

To William, elect of Glasgow. Provision of William, archdeacon
of Lothian, d.u.j., priest, to the bishopric of Glasgow, vacant by the
death outside the curia of Mathew, late bishop, as a benefice reserved
under Mathew to papal provision.

Concurrent letter to the chapter of the church of Glasgow, the clergy
of the city and diocese, the people of the city and diocese, the vassals
of the church of Glasgow, and James, king of Scotland.

To William, elect of Glasgow. Indult for William to be consecrated
by any catholic bishop of his choice, aided by two or three other
catholic bishops, and the said bishop is to receive from William the
oath of fealty which is then to be sent by letters patent under
William’s seal by the next envoy to the curia.
