to very little, and therefore the above indult is granted, but within
two years of his peaceful assecution to Magnacaveris and on the
cessation of the wars, James is held to demit it or the vicarage of
Innerlethan or any other benefice he might have obtained in
exchange.

To the bishop and chapter of Glasgow. Indult to receive the first
years fruits, or if these are owed, of the second or any subsequent
years from any vacant benefice in the diocese of Glasgow whether
canonry and prebend, dignity or parsonage, for a period of ten
years as often as they may be vacant, to be used to repair the choir,
campanile and bells which have been destroyed by fire, and to
provide a chapter house and vestry which the church of Glasgow
lacks, since the fabric fund is worth only 12 merks Scots annually
and the episcopal revenues are much diminished by wars.

Elizabeth, was related in the third degree of consanguinity to John;
and they are held to pay 10 francs of gold to their parish church for
ornamentation.
